Lienzo: Mercedes López Bodypainter: Alberto Maupomé
​Witzilin means hummingbird in Nahuatl and is an artwork that demonstrates how to transform something ugly into something beautiful. An ugly keloid scar on Meche's arm and his love for callas and hummingbirds gave me the opportunity to do this artwork. Note that keloid marks communicate texture to the calla. A more vivid effect was achieved on the hummingbird adding fluorescent paint. Painted on September 2015.
